Looking for Wormhole corp.

I’ve been fascinated with wormholes this week. Probably because myself and 4 other RvB members managed to successfully ambush and kill a Cane in one, despite the pilots corp having a Gila, Phobos, 2 SBs and an Armageddon with him. It was amazing.

I have a newfound desire to explore the unknown. I know corps and alliances live in these holes sucessfully.

I’ve been looking into Wormhole Engineers, and a bunch of other corps/alliances have been linked to me on twitter.

My question are thus; How strict is the average recruitment process and would my RvB career serve me well in getting in?

A last question; what Wormhole corps/alliances, if any, do you recommend for someone looking for a mix of ISK making as well as PvP?

Let me know in game or in a comment, I’d appreciate it!

  1. Wormhole corps that live in C3 and C4 wormholes see the most PvP. An endless amount of PvP. They don’t usually spend too much time ISK making in the wormholes (Incursions are still better money.)

Corps that live in C5 and C6 wormholes make a fair bit of ISK, but since they are generally only accessible via other wormholes, thus further down the “rabbit hole”, they are harder to get too. The PvP is more sporadic.

  2. Find a wormhole corp that partners with a lowsec or nullsec POP corp. This gives the PVP corp extra WH time and the WH corp extra PVP ops. This is the arrangement behind Sleeper Social Club (FCFTW TORAH).

  3. I’ve seen AQUILA Inc around a bit, and they’re pretty badass at PvP. I’ve been in a few fights with them, when their holes linked to Cascade Imminent space. I can’t speak to how much ISK they make, but I’m certain that they make plenty to support their PvP.

  4. We are set up in a c3 and we can usually make about 1.5b a week gross, we have opportunities for pvp as we have a 0.0 static, or we can leave the static closed and run sites. We have been in our current hole for about 1.5 months, though it does get tedious when you have inbound holes that happen when you are running a site and all o a sudden see scanners on dscan. It can be fun, and you can make good money and sneak up on folks. I like the aspect of no local, I wish 0.0 was like that.

  5. Congrats on joining Wormhole Engineers. You’ll have to let me know how that works out for you.

The idea of wormholes does intrigue me. I was just a noob when I first ventured into one (passive shield drake, amongst an armor tank RR gang – nearly lost my drake when the sleepers went after me, but the gang kept repping my meager armor long enough to warp out). One of these days, I may go back.
